Thank you for your patience.

And THANK GOD for Weight Watcher's cheat points. We get 35 a week, and I used 30 of them last night. Chase grilled out and we had beer. And it was wonderful. Still, I ate a burger without the bun and skipped the dessert. My downfall was the Hawaiian rolls. Womp womp. I had 3 (or 4), but I still counted, and I'm proud of myself. I cheated, but it was within sensible limits. Hooray! Small victories.
The only problem is, I only had 5 more cheat points, and I was STARVING all day, so I used 4 of them. Only 1 left. Uh-oh. Good thing they start over on Wednesday. But Chase has 24-hour duty tomorrow, so I've got to fight getting lonely and eating my feelings.
In other news, does anybody have suggestions on filling foods I can eat? I keep hearing fruits, but I swear my body doesn't think so. I'll eat an apple and be starving 30 minutes later. It's ridiculous. I've thought about getting those full bars, but I need to look them up. I'm sure it's a load of shit, but it sounds like a good idea. Y'all know the ones I'm talking about?
How did everyone else do over the weekend? Anyone else hanging on by a thread? Talk to me.

P.S. Whitney, I'm sorry I went a few days without posting. Can you ever forgive me? A roo roo.

And Emmy, this cartoon made me think of you. You're on the left and I'm on the right.

  5. Witty, you're beautiful no matter what. But I wish I was skinny, too. Life's a bitch, then you get fat. Isn't that how the saying goes?

Mike, yeah, but those are no fun, haha. I know I need to acquire a taste for veggies, and I'm trying, but it's hard!

  7. MUCHO entertainment! [FYI] :) hahahahaha. MAD KUDOS to YOU for joining weight watchers, I have been to a meeting or two, and I just couldnt make myself keep track of all those numbers and points etc. Ive also seen it work for people.. so best of luck! I am taking baby steps. Step 1: eat before 8 P.M. Step 2: WHAT to eat. Step 3: Get off my ass, and go walk. Step One, I can honestly say, Im doing that... the other 2, well... like I said, baby steps. Ha...

  8. Thanks, Madison! The points can be annoying, but I'm used to counting calories, so it's not too big of a nuisance. Just remember, it's not necessarily that eating after 8pm is bad, it's just that a lot of people tend to OVEReat at night. That's where that rule came from. As long as you're not eating too much, it doesn't matter what time you eat. WHAT to eat is a big deal for me, too. It's really hard to eat healthy for me, because I grew up such a picky eater. But I'm trying! As far as exercise goes, shoot for 30 minutes a day. If you say you'll take a day off, that one day usually turns into a week. It's easier to tell yourself you'll do SOMETHING everyday, even if it's only walking or doing housework. Try to do something fun, you'll be more likely to stick with it. And don't give up! You have this place for sharing and motivation. Come back whenever you have questions or want to share your successes or mess-ups. We're all in the same boat! :)

  9. Beeteedubs, Hales, I learned a good way to eat a snack and be full is to eat a fruit AND a protein. When you eat something like just an apple, your blood sugar spikes slightly because of the natural sugar in the fruit. So when your body has worked through that, you're starving again. Since preggos are hungry hungry hippos, they teach us to do stuff like eat an apple and a piece of cheese or a little piece of meat. Another thing is EAT WHOLE GRAINS!!! I don't know how that works with WW, but I know if I eat half a whole wheat bagel with light cream cheese, I'm full for hours. Plus, that's 15g of protein right there. :)

  10. Hmm, that makes total sense! I like cheese :) And I LOVE whole grains, so I've been doing good on that one. But from now on I'll snack on fruit AND a protein. Thanks for the advice, Emmy! I'm not pregnant, and I'm a hungry hungry hippo, haha.
