*snort*
Sooo, to update you guys, my last weigh-in went well and I lost 2 more pounds! YEET! So, I'm down 6.6 pounds in all. I was pretty surprised cause I just felt blah all last week and I had a little too much fun last Saturday and drank all my extra points :/. However, my body forgave me and still allowed me to drop a couple of pounds. I'm kinda nervous about this week's weigh-in, though. We went to a James Otto/Trace Adkins/Toby Keith concert Saturday... of course country music concert = BEER. And tailgating. And grills. I tried not to do too bad, but I still went WAY over my daily points, and used all of my weekly points. And then some. *cringe* It was SO worth it, though. We had a blast. I'm going to the gym for the rest of the week, so hopefully I'll work it all off.
I've also been freaking sick the past week. UGH, it's such a pain. I have a sore throat/cough/headache and it's just annoying. It makes me not want to work out at all. In fact - I am ashamed to say - I literally did not leave my apartment yesterday. I laid in bed 90% of the day reading a book. The only time I stepped outside was to walk the dogs before we went to bed. I was such a piece of crap. I thought with all the rest, I'd wake up feeling good, but NOPE. Guess I just gotta suck it up and get off my ass.
So, I'm curious to know how all of y'all have been doing? We talk about me too much, I wanna know how YOU are. Share. I miss you guys. Anyone have scale victories? Non-scale victories? Stories? Catch me up!
I'm starting to experiment with using leafy greens when making sandwich-like food. And it is working out awesomely! I feel like I'm accomplishing so much by changing these small things that don't even feel like awful changes, they're more like overdue improvements. And my fear of developing high cholesterol and high blood pressure is slowly easing off. I hope you feel better soon! And thanks for the sweet comment on my new cuddle buddy, Stella, she's great and super cute just like you said! :)
ReplyDeleteYay! That's awesome, Renee. Have you tried doing lettuce wraps? They are delish. It's all about baby steps. I've definitely learned that if you try to change everything at once, it's almost impossible to stick to it. But if you change little things, and keep changing and keep changing, it's SO MUCH easier! And you are welcome. Stella is a doll :)
ReplyDeletei sustained a micro tear in my calf muscle last wednesday and havent been able to workout ever since. hopefully by thursday i'll be back at it again grindin away. i've decided to try and change the munching at work. start the morning with a wakeup snack and then snack on trail mix and dehydrated mangos throughout the day while i down at least a gallon or so of water with it. i feel good, but i know i still have a lot on my imaginary plate in terms of gettin back on the train. i'll keep you posted though...
ReplyDeleteWhen I first started reading this, I thought you meant micro tear as in crying. Haha, but I digress. Snacking is a big issue with me, but like I was telling Renee, baby steps! And the water thing is awesome. Not only does it wash away your fat cells, but it keeps you full too. But you already know that I'm sure, Dr. Anderson :)
ReplyDeletelol... that's Doc Anderson. I didn't avoid 4 years of medical school to be called 'Doctor,' thank you very much.
ReplyDeletehahah, but on a serious note, once this calf is up and about again, it's go time... cuz like they say, there's no time like go time.
